Mīharo means 'Mean as' in Māori. It can be used to praise someone or something. e.g. seeing a child, let's call him Bob, Bob picked up a piece of rubbish you could go Bob "Mīharo Bob for picking up that rubbish. Thanks for looking after our school".
Our Mīharo Moment goes to someone that Mrs Griffiths got an email about. In Room 12 poor Cody O'Hearn is on crutches. A member of our community spotted Corey Powell helping him put his bag on his hook, get his book bag out and carry it to his classroom, open the door for Cody and go in with him. Corey did this without any teacher or adult telling him too AND a grandparent spotted this and took the time to email Mrs Griffiths.
So Corey from Mrs Griffiths and all of TAPS "Mīharo!"
