Out of Zone Enrolments ONLY - Important Notice:

Te Awamutu Primary wishes to advise the community that at this stage we will be only looking at Priority 2 out of zone enrolments in 2025, should there be spaces.

The Ministry of Education reviewed the TAPS school zone at the end of 2024 and completed a consultation period across the community. They have confirmed an amendment to our school zone, removing an area southwest of TAPS between Kihikihi Road, Park Road, and Golf Road, including, Park Road, Domain Road, Hazelmere Cres, Spinley Street, Mandeno Street, Raikes Ave, Carlton Street, Sinclair Tce, Cucksey Cres, Caxton Place, Chapel Dr, Highfield Estate, and the Oak Ridge area.

Out of zone Sibling 2025 Under Section 75 of the Education and Training Act 2020, (the school will maintain a record of all current students living in the newly excluded area as of the 1st of Jan 2025). Any younger siblings of these children will be accepted into TAPS under an “additional entitlement to enrol”.

As of 1 January 2025, the new school zone took effect, therefore all children who live in this area are now deemed as out of zone.
