Teacher
Kia ora everyone,
I have been primary teaching since 2007. Before starting out in my teaching career I obtained qualifications in both early childhood and primary education. I am passionate about keeping up to date with the latest proven research on how our children learn best, particularly those who struggle with their learning.
I love seeing the joy on a child's face when they have been successful in learning something.
As a Mum of 3 myself I am super busy, so in my spare time you will usually find me at home or racing around town dropping off and picking up children for different activities. I love Te Awamutu, my heart is definitely in this town, and I feel privileged to be a teacher at TAPS.

Hi, I am Michelle. I will be teaching year 3 in Room 15 in 2021. This is my sixth year teaching at TAPS. When I'm not teaching, I am playing golf, helping junior golfers, spending time outside, and enjoying quality family time. I'm looking forward to a fantastic year of learning!
Teacher - Room 16 - Team Leader
Bachelor of Teaching
I have been teaching for 18 years and have a Bachelor of Teaching degree. I am in my 14th year at TAPS. I am very fortunate this year to be working in Team Tauihi again with amazing teachers and delightful Year 4 students. The students I work with make my teaching career so worthwhile. I am in back in a single cell classroom with 26 students. I believe that we are all ongoing learners and teachers and students alike are on a journey of discovery together especially in the digital world we live in.
