Te Awamutu Primary School runs a Before School (7.00am - 8.30am) and an After School Care programme (3.00pm - 6.00pm) from the school hall, each weekday when school is open for instruction.
The programme is open to all current TAPS pupils. Enrolments are available on a casual or regular basis.
Our programmes are OSCAR approved which means we have met the strict standards required by the Ministry of Social Development to provide and care for children. For you as parents and caregivers, OSCAR accreditation means that you can apply to WINZ for the relevant subsidies to help pay for this service.
We have different activities available on a daily basis this includes crafts, sports, indoor and outdoor activities and homework options as well as swimming in the summer months.
Children are served breakfast and afternoon tea each day. This consists of a choice of cereals, toast, sandwiches, fruit, and a drink with optional extras such as biscuits or treats on special occasions.
All programmes are run and managed through the school with the exception of the holiday programme. This is run by our programme supervisor, Laille Martin through her own business The Safe & Happy Club.
